According to a talk given by Elder Boyd K. Packer in 1987 or so, the teenagers of that generation were told there was plenty of time to have get married, raise a family, and even become grandparents. Since I was in that same generation, being 18 in 1987, and I don't have children yet, I assume I have the time to still have a family. So my guess is we have at least 15 to 25 years to go. No man is allowed to know when the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is, so our job is to be prepared but not to go around as if we are doomed. Have a happy day!

In the 50,s we all had the same worry and now with talk of North Korea testing nuclear weapons it starts again. I have learned that it is best to live each day the best you can and forget about the end of the world. There is no sense worrying unnecessarily about things you have no control of. If in some way something comes up and you can make a difference do so, otherwise make the best of every day and enjoy life. Be happy.

Many of the things that have happened in the last 100 years (give or take) may be end times Biblical prophecies fulfilled. And with the launch of 6 missiles by No. Korea today it would appear we are in a hurry for the end to come. But, Jesus told His disciples 2,000 years ago that He would be returning soon. He also said that no man will know the day or the hour, only God knows. So, when is "soon?" Only God knows. The best thing each one of us can do is be sure we have accepted Christ as our personal LORD and Savior and live each day as if it were our last, not worrying about it but enjoying our blessings and sharing them with others.

All of you people that think the world is going to end let me tell you this. It's not the world that's going to end, it's just the people on that that are going to be leaving, The world's been through terrible times, and it's the people that were hurt, not the earth... See, all throughout history, beings have been forcasting the end, and all have been wrong... Except for that one dino that had the drawing of the asteroid hitting the earth.

Does it matter? Just live your life to the fullest. Live like you'll die tomorrow then it will not matter if the end of the world is near. How much time do we have? Not a lot.

We have about 50 thousand years until the sun explodes. Thats what I have read. And, we still are unsure wheather or not a metior large enogh to destroy the earth will occur. If you want to get into religeon, the second comming is coming nearer, where there will be destruction of the earth. Scarry isnt it?

End of the "world" is the letter "d"
Demise !
Oh there - D is the beginning -
but - end of demise is e.
Oh - e is again beginning of end.
And D is the end of end.
And D is beginning of demise.
Go to line 4 above.
....... and so there is no end or beginning of the world.
D is nearer to C and E.
That is , end or demise will be
when C is over (if confidence is lost)
and E (enthusiasm) is not in sight.

According to Judaic teachings and the ancient talmud, the world has been standing for 5,766 years and can only stand for 6,000 before apocalypse (termed war of gog and magog) is initiatied. that leaves us with about 234 years.
of course, we are also led to believe that our actions can bring the redemption sooner and avoid apocalypse completely.
