Oh no, not I. I personally detest high volume music pounding my eardrum out of no choice of mine. I respect other people's right to listen to loud music. But I also respect my right to retain my eardrums. Thus, when somebody's freedom is conflicting with mine, there must be compromise. So what's the solution?
A previous lecturer asked us to imagine two individuals sitting side by side. One person stretches his arms to work the kinks out of them. But the person knows how to stretch them at just the right distance and angle so as not to hurt the person seated next to him. The moral of this story? Your freedom ends where the "nose" of your seatmate begins.
Someone can thus listen to music that's as loud as he wants it as long as it's not at a level that would cause other people discomfort or pain.

Actually if a person spends the money to have bass installed right it isn't "noisy" - but, if they have their windows down you are going to hear the bass and their loud music. No matter what type of device you designed you would always be able to hear the loud music/bass when the person opened their car windows.
I don't particularly care for bass - but I do love having my loud music in my car. I think the bass should be proportionate to the music, but many people just seem to like listening to overpowering bass.

Well when I was younger, like 15 and 16 years old, that was the big thing then...so of course I was all about it. Rap music too.. but now since it's been 12 years later, I can barely understand why people do that to their cars.
Or their ears for that matter. I did it I think for a popularity contest, but nowadays, I just want to slap a person who drives past me and is shaking the ground that I walk on. Not everyone wants to hear their music. THEY ARE EAR RAPING ME. They are forcibly shoving their unwanted music into my brain...It's kinda like a slap in the face, like ha.. you all ARE going to listen to my music..

Oh yeah - nothing I like more than feeling my steering wheel vibrating to the bass line of something that might be charitably called "music" if I was high on painkillers.

it doenst really bother me unless it is really loud on a rap song. rap songs are stupid. but i have a better idea have a flash-bang grenade launcher on the roof of your car that shoots it into their car; thus giving them enough noise to wear they cant hear very well then they have a reason to play it so loud (not permanant of course)

No it's asinine, Let's put it this way, who wants to be deaf?
Would you be able to hear another cars horn, or sirens???
It's just stupid and so are the people that do it because they really are going to damage their hearing and when it's damaged it's gone for good.
