why pp sometimes scared from whats different either in religion,beliefs,ideas or even way of life
why we always think we are right and the rest of pp are wrong? dont u think its kinda of racism

bcuz some people not giving their opinion they're being racist. certain things i wouldn't say or ask that i know will offend another race or group, I think we all should be able to ask questions without offending anyone. IF U DONT HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY DONT SAY IT AT ALL!! that's the way i've been raise. ITS NOT ABOUT BEING "OPENMINDED" ITS ABOUT R E S P E C T!!!

Well, often different opinions and beliefs contradict one's own opinion. This is particularly the case with religious beliefs. When one person says God is a single entity, while another person says God is everything, then it seems that only one or neither can be correct. He makes an analogy that each religion is like a blind man feeling a different part of an elephant, which is the Divine Truth; one man feels the tail and says its a rope, another man feels legs and says they're tree trunks, and another man feels the nose and says it's a garden hose. Hick argues that all religions aim for the same thing, and that everyone should respect other people. He has an interesting view.

No I don't feel its a type of racism. Its just that people always feel that they are right because we have free will and right to free speech(in America). those who actually accept others ways of life with out prejudice are the better individuals. At least that's what I think, may I be right or wrong.

Hi, I find that the reason why people are afraid to accept different opinions is because their narrow minded. They feel that by accepting others opinions they are admitting that someone else is right and their wrong. However, they don't realize that its possible to acknowledge other peoples opinions and be accepting of them without canceling out their own opinion.

It's NOT racism. It's ignorance.
I'm open to other opinions if I ASK for it.
I've heard somewhere that "Opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one, but no one wants to hear it.

if the oppion is just that an oppion and not criticism that is what people hate live and let live is my philosophy and no im not always right just most the time lol

dealing with difference is broad question, I think YH need a catagory for this. Maybe call it "social class studies"
