When I type in "Amsoil Columbus" my site shows at #2, however the URL is bestsynlubes.com (which was my old URL and has since been changed) my new URL is HighTechSyntheticOil.com and I would like it to appear when anyone searches this term. I do have a re-direct going to my new site, but I am trying to eliminate all references to my old URL. What do I need to do??

If you still have access to the old address you need to set up a 301 redirect from the old page to the new page. Most likely you have a 302 redirect which google and the other spiders consider temporary, and won't update the url displayed.

If it was a recent change (within the past month or so) Google might not have updated yet, that depends on how frequently your site was being spidered.

By the way you dont know search engines im assuming your not an expert but if you are and have the ability on the server then use a redirect as described in first reply. Otherwise keep it as it is and be patient. When your new url starts showing up the old one will become less well rated as it has no content and gradually fall down the list of results until going completely.
