Legalized prostitution would have no effect on rape and child molesting. They are alltogether different things. Paying a hooker for sex is about no strings attatched sexual grtification. rape and child molesting is about control and power.

It's amazing how much I can disagree with every argument you give for legalized prostitution & still believe in legalized prostitution!

Rape & child molestation is NOT about just wanting sex! It's about domination, violence & control! Some rapist might enjoy "mock" rape for a while, but they would eventually want the real thing - sex forced upon a nonconcentual victim! Child molestors want children - not adults!

And do you think they actually do a poll of the "johns" leaving prostitutes to see their political or religious affiliations? And even if there was such a poll, do you think they would answer honestly?

But I still think prostitution should be legalized so it can be controlled better. The girls could be tested super regularly for STDs. It would be easier to keep children out of the business. Prostitutes could more easliy report rape & other abuse. No more need for pimps. Girls who want out of the business could more easily get out.

Don't get me wrong. I think prostitution is disgusting. But people should have the right to choose what to do with their own body, as long as they aren't harming others.

No, get a clue. These perverts are not interested in legal pussie as you call it. Rape and children is what turns them on. For many death is the only solution to keep society safe from them. Besides, prostitution generally abuses women, even if there are some safeguards. It would only make things worse for everybody.

I believe it should be legalized if done properly and smartly, but not for the reasons you cite. Rape and child molestation aren't about sex, they're about having power over a weaker person. Paying a prostitute is usually just about the sex.

When I say it should be legalized properly and smartly, that doesn't mean just drop the criminal laws against it. They could be licensed as some professions have to be, and you can only get a license if you're tested at regular intervals and found to be STD free. There's more to it than that, of course, but that would be a starting point.

I think that we should. There are millions of dollars out there that could pay taxes for better schools, medical, police, fire. The problem is that most people may not feel comfortable when going for a new job listing the last job as Prostitute, or I don't think that the Christian groups would want to know that little sue's mom is a call girl and the head of the PTA.

It won't. All of these perverts you speak of are not interested in regular sexual activity (or as regular as prostitutes get) Those creeps usually do want children or dead women. Legalizing prostitution won't do anything, but maybe drop the psotitution rate. Maybe when if it becomes illegal, people won't want to be involved in it. Legalizing prostitution would be the government's way of condoning the act of selling sex. Sex should not be sold, and men should learn to keep it in their pants. (Even though a surprising amount of women are actually paying for it too).

Moron, How is legalizing prostitution going to stop child molesters? What do you do make children prostitute too. The reason legalization of prostitution will never be legal is because the government can't control it, The government is all about control.

I agree. I'm all for legalization of it. When you make things illegal they go underground and thus pave way for the perverts you described. Why make the oldest known profession illegal? When it's open and available and run correctly, it doesn't hurt anyone, in fact protects society.

Politicians do frequent escort and masseuse services (at their discretion). Prostitution is legal in Nevada. So why not!
