The 'race card' was played by Johnny cocheran (spelling, who cares anyway!). the Poor murder was black and the nasty oppressive victims were white.

why didn't the prosecution play tha 'race card' right back and trup the one the defence used?

why is race ALWAYS BROUGHT UP when anyone that is not white is accused of anything?

I would say that when anyone that is not white commits a crime against anyone white should have this brought up as a racially motivated crime, if and only if that person tries to cloud the issue by claiming race is the real factor behind the prosecution!

It is the defense attorney's job to defend his client using whatever means possible. And the "race" card is one of them.

Justice is not black and white; but is green, as in GREENBACK.

The reason the prosecution could not use the race card is because they law is free of these discrimination's. While people may not like other people, the law itself does not have color and is free from it, this is protected in the Constitution. The reason that the defense can use it, is that the defense has the right to question the motive of the trial by all means possible. "innocent until proved guilty". It may not be perfect but it is the best we have at this time.

Johnny Cochran is like any other defense attorney and used everything available. The jury was so black they would have never found OJ guilty. The prosecution did a pretty poor job, but they weren't the best lawyers in the world! Run of the mill Attorney General types!!

If my client were African-American, you bet I'd play the race card. Johnny Cocheran did his job and protected his client. I certainly don't agree with the verdict, but the Judge and Prosecution in this case are truly to blame. And of course a jury of people, so out of touch with reality that they hadn't seen anything about the trial prior to sitting on the jury.

Trial by your peers...what does this mean...OJ's peers should have been other former professional football players right?? Not the dopes they put on that jury.

Innocent until proven guilty doesn't exist anymore. He was found not guilty by a jury of his peers in a court of law. This isn't enough for bitches like you, though. The one n*gger that got away and you can't let it go. Well, word of advice: he was found not guilty by a court of law. Due to the risk of double jepordy, he cannot be tried again as he'd be found almost immediately guilty. The fact he was involved with a white girl as a black, rich man made the circumstance guilty until proven innocent, so unless he's blown away, bastards like you won't be happy.

If you are a believer in our judiciary system, it found O J "not
guilty" by a panel of jurors. Often times, the cry "racism" is used
the same as the term "anti-Semitic" is used as a defense
mechanism to gain sympathy and without investigating the
charge and the charger becomes the focus rather that the
chargee.

I don't think race is 'always brought up' in any case similar to his, but I think his team was paid to put on the best defense possible and given the mishandling of this case by the police and the DA... he was able to get away with it. It's sad for his children and the victims' families for sure.

Mark Fuhrman is pretty much responsible for that. His idiocy and lying was enough to create doubt (reasonable or otherwise) in the jurors.

Well...the theory would be that OJs murders were driven by anger and not racism, while the cops were after him because he was black (i.e. racism).

However, it is time for you to move on with your life - life isn't fair and whomever told you it was lied to you. live with it.

Like Michael Jackson, you can't convict a black man in this country.
