This is a toughy........ Does it mean which music film soundtrack is my favourite, or which "normal" film has the best music??? I'm plumping for "Stop Making Sense" by the Talking Heads. It still blows me away all these years later, and it was the first and so far only film which was so good, I watched the matinee, and was so impressed I just stayed in the cinema to watch the early evening showing too. Student life was taxing!!!It's the closest thing I've ever seen as a cross between pop concert and drama, and is a glorious success in both genres.

My favorite music soundtrack would be Waiting to Exhale. My other favorites are Soul Food, Batman Forever, The Bodyguard, and Boomerang. Great soundtracks. Whitney Houston's soundtracks are always the best. I also liked The Wood, Love and Basketball, The Nutty Professor, and The Best Man soundtracks.

The ones that are instantly recognisable are the best. Star Wars, Superman, Flash Gordon etc. The one that tops this list for me would be the opening titles for the Bond films. Have always loved these movies, and still get a little bit goose-pimpley when I hear it!
P.S The Bullitt car chase is awesome. The music leads perfectly into the roar of the engines.

My vote has to go for a little known movie with a HUGE soundtrack. That would be the soundtrack from "Streets Of Fire." Jim Steinman was the coordinator and the man who was the backbone of albums like Bat out of Hell (one of the best selling albums of all time) and has an influence on artists such as Def Leppard and Bonnie Tyler. Extremely under-rated.

I like the soundtrack to Pulp Fiction. It has quite a mixed bag of tunes with some funny dialogue skits chucked in between tracks.

" Cruising ". It was a little recognised Al Paccino film. About an under cover cop who was tracking a Gay killer through their 'S&M' scene.
Absolutely brilliant film. Sadly it caused a wave of 'Gay Bashing' and so got buried PDQ. Paccino would now rather not be reminded of it.
All that aside, it has a fantastic sound track. Look out for such eyebrow raisers as " Willie DeVille ". He went on to release the one hit: " Spanish Stroll ".
LOL! My God! Am I showing my age here?! ;-)
