For the same reason The Netherlands jersy is orange.( look it up)

ok fine, the reason for the blue- it's italy's official sports color (think like a High School) adopted because it was the italian royals color of choice way back when italy had a king. Although now italy is a republic, they still choose to wear the blue because it makes them look cool.

The 6/01/1911, for a match against Hungary, they decided to play in blue in honor of "Savoie" royal family.
From these date, they keep the blue color.
(It's the same for Netherlands: the "Orange" royal family)

the italian jersey is blue because of the italian coat of arms which is surrounded by the colour blue. *go see the italian coat of arms for yourself. =)

Good question. I have no idea, must be some personal preference with the team or something.
