I am from New York State, but I am not familiar with Wellsville. I go camping in the Catskill Mts. a nice campground, named North Lake. It's very nice there, they have trails you can take, up into the mountains, very clean, State run park. It's by Hunter mountain, about 10 miles from there..

Kinzua dam is to the east between Olean and Salamanka NY
There is also Allegheny State Park also in that area.
Finger lakes to the north should have some campgrounds.
Watkins Glen might have some also.
