ran a marathon in 39 degrees, wind and sleet. Started out too fast, couldn;t keep my pace up, had to walk, and got WAY too cold. I finished the thing, but was so confused I couldn;t find my car keys I had pinned to my shorts. Had I started slower, I could've run the whole thing and been fine...

YES. i was new to my high school and i didn't really my team very well. so we were relaying, right? and this guy who has this same style jersey runs up beside me and i grab the baton from him and take off running. my teammate was 2 minutes behind me. holy crap that was bad.

yeah, cross country last year i got really bad stomach cramps and walked half the race. I ended up getting like a 28:40 or something like that.

I made the mistake of wearing a cotton shirt on my first marathon. OW! My neck and armpits chaffed so bad I was bleeding by the end.

how? like tripping or something? no, I havent done that. but on two occasions, with two ppl that i know on my cross country team last year...one guy fainted when he was almost done with the race, and another guy lost a shoe in a race, but he kept running
