I need to get rid of an old cruddy grapefruit tree, but I can not cut it down. The tree it self looks horrible and the fruit is just bad, it tastes terrible, very acidic and has a huge amount of seeds in it. In addition, the fruit falls all over the place, rots and attracts insects and even some wierd looking rat like creature. Is there anything available that can kill off this tree?

You can kill any tree by ringbarking it. That means taking a ring of bark from around its trunk. But make sure you cut right through the bark. That severs its transpiration vessels.

Maybe you should talk to a garden specialist at Home Depot or a nursery or something.

Try burning the base. If that dosent work you can always dig up the roots. IF unable to do anyof those thenpaysomeone to do so.
