Relax cause they are only gonna get higher.I have figured it out.The gas prices are so high not because of war or the hurricanes but because it was a good excuse for the government to make more money. They are forceing the auto makers to spend more money to figure out how to built cheaper, more compact cars yet charge more.I say change your life style and get rid of that big car or gas lovin truck and buy a small compact car.People that drive big cars and trucks are so use to this and would not have a cracker box but the government is pushing it.If you have a car or truck that averages 15 miles per gallon and gas is costing you $3.00 per gallon then you switch to a compact car that gets 30 miles per gallon then it is only equal to paying $1.50 per gallon compared to the amount of gas you were using and the amount of gas you are saving.Which in the long run pushes more people to buy cars that would normally keep driving what they have now and that leads to more cars registered and the small cars do not last near as long as a big one and if you wreck one, then you may as well replace it with a new one.with all these facts,it just shows that the government is trying to make more money.

Yes I do, half a tank will last me about 1 day to get to work and go home. So I'm constently having to put gas and it takes up too much of my time then waiting in traffic for about an 1 hour doesn't help either. I say I spend anywhere from $40-$45 dollars on gas maybe even a little bit more.

Gas prices will come down when peace returns to the middle east, or when an alternative fuel source is discovered. Meanwhile, the gas companies are raking in big bucks and loving it! And the government isn't easing up on the taxes it charges on gasoline either.

I HOPE IT goes UP! YAAAAYYYYYYYY GO UP UP UP! This could be the best friggin ' thing that happened to America in decades. Everyone would have to get rid of their big, fat , gas guzzling pieces of conspicous consumption-mobiles, conserve instead of sucking up every drop of oil we can, and actually stop being the most high- consuming society in all of time. Alternative energy sources wouls surge forward. The Ozone layer would possibly be saved, global warming would turn back, and the US would be seen by the world as the glowing example of ecologically smart conservation.
And the BEST part of all, with a massive effort naturally emanating from our pocketbooks, we would cease our dependence on foreign oil, and no longer need to be involved in the never ending Israeli-Arab conflict. We could reduce our military exports to all of these countries and just say NO to the rediculous geo-politics of oil.
