The Ducks did!
The have best 2 d-men now, and cleared a roster spot for Bobby Smith!
Next they will trade Giggy for more cap space!
I am a Ducks Season ticket holder and loved watching Lupul, but in the quest for the cup Pronger was an upgrade over Rusty Salei and Smith will fill in fine for Lupul!
Oilers are weaker on D because Smid will not fill the void!

The Anaheim Ducks. Pronger lead Edmonton to the Stanley Cup. Pronger is much more of a leader than Lupul.

Both IMO.
Lupul is a great up and coming forward. And they also have the Ducks first round picks for the next two years.
If they draft wisley it will be great for Edmonton, OR they could trade them for top players currently in the league.
Ducks didn't do to bad either. Getting one of the best d-men in the league...Niedermayer and Pronger...All I can say is wow.

Business-wise, Edmonton since they're great at picking out drafts and turning them into stars (look at Comrie, Weight, etc). But the Ducks are a much better team now with Pronger for the short-term. And you can't forget Lupol, he got the best part out of the deal. The man's playing for his hometown team, the one that he grew up idolizing as a kid. It can't get any sweeter than that.

edmonton of course. has pronger won anything significant in either professional or amateur hockey? why the blues in the past couldn't not get to the cup finals?
pronger seems like a big 6-6 man with an infantile mindset.
