You can't. He'll always have a place in your heart for you and vice versa. If it'll make you feel any better, eight months ago, my last girlfriend dumped me for her ex. Here's the kicker: her ex looks like he's got downs-syndrome, sexually abuses her, and has a criminal record. So now, in my mind, I'm worse than a retarded-looking sexual abuser with a criminal record. That's gotta score some confidence points...NOT!!!
So don't feel too bad, there're plenty of "a$$holes" like me out there who are getting their heart ripped out and having it run over by an 18-wheeler in drive...and then in reverse...and since it's gotta get out of there, drive again. Hope my comedic misery cheers you up some. :)

Don't beat yourself up over it, it's definitely obvious that your bf was a loser and didn't care about you at all. I would definitely be relieved now. At first, I can see why you felt so hurt and crushed, but really you should have took it as a sign that he wasn't deserving of you. He will probably dump her for someone else too, he is a mess, he is probably too busy chasing after women to realize that he had someone who actually cared about him. Be glad he dumped you, if he was that easily distracted from being with you after you guys were together so long, he would have eventually cheated on you and it would have been constantly. You'll find someone better, he's the one with the issues, not you.

Time and distraction can mend a broken heart. Either the distraction can be someone new (just as a friend) or work, school or a hobby. What ever you enjoy that keeps your mind occupied not to think about that person. Trust me, Im going through this myself. Good Luck. :)
P.S. You ex-man will realize he made a big mistake and will probably want you back but its up to you take him back. Listen to what your heart says not your mind or friends.

Squeeze Something hard so it doesn't hurt as bad when you sew it back up. You'll be fine... Let time wash away the pain because there is someone out there who is so much better for you and much less of a loser... Then again Ben and Jerries works too... But it would probably be best if you did something active like running or excercise and soon you'll be so focused on your goals that you won't have to look back!

Right now you are feeling like, you know, is something wrong with me. How could he do this to me. I had a fiance that basically was talking behind my back in Spanish where I could hear him and I understood enough to know that he didn't really care. The worst thing to do is to quickly hook up with someone else. The best thing is to give yourself like a mourning time say a day or a week when you will allow yourself to sulk while getting full of the word of God with scriptures like He will never leave us or forsake us and we will not be ashamed. Eat ice cream, Listen to gospel songs (You will only be torturing yourself if you sit and listen to those love songs) Once your sulking time is over say no more will I sulk for him; it was his loss!
