go to download.com and get audacity. its free audio thing. it's pretty powerful tool. i use it to make ringtones for my cellphone.

but the important thing you will need is the mp3 encoder/decoder file which will enable you to encode and decode mp3s. and it's just a small file. i got my file from "lame" something. i can't remember. i took the file (lame.dll) and deleted the rest of the program lol. but, it was the audacity program that lead me to the lame file. so maybe they still have the info when you download it.

If they aren't protected, I believe you can in Windows Media Player. Also in iTunes. Or you can burn them to a CD, then rip them back in MP3 form.

turn caps lock off. i do not favor you yelling at me. secondly, if that is a document that to procure at a internet keep (like wal-mart or napster) you is purely no longer waiting to remodel the document until eventually you burn a CD and re-rip the music. for all non-possibility-free archives, use great.
