Ok so we lost, and we are out.... BUT WE STILL ROCK! and are the best team in the world, and Klinsmann rocks! He was such a Gentlemen at the end of the match, Ballack and schweinteiger, Neuville, Klose, Poloiski, Freidrich, Lehmann... Your the greatest and am proud to support you. Italy sure made an "Italian Job" of it. Did they deserve to win?! NO and not because i support Germany, it is because all they player for was free kicks and cornors. They injured most of the deutsch player and the ref was mexican... too much on italy's side. I hope france are in the final and Kick ITALY out! No matter wass DEUTSCHLAND RULES. So what did you think of the match overall? who deserved to win?

I will say this. Italy did give a good game! In my opinion the Germans have been having it too easy in this world cup, i mean the only tough team they played was Argentina and they only just won that. And they knew when their number was up. But Hey! it's only a game, and we played great. Good Luck Italy, and to the rest.! You are right there are more inportant things in life than football, like the war in gaza and iraq and stuff. I so agree with you.!!! WE ROCK!!! Italy just cheated!! And Italy never gets that cup.I hope someone kicks them out!! They CHEATED ALL THE WAY! Like "uhhh I'm injured in the knee by a german and they should get a yellow card and I should get a free kick."That's all they could do!! GERMANY DESERVED TO WIN. Obviously you're biased 'cause you were for Germany. Germany commited more fouls than Italy - you can check on fifa website (Germany 21 - Italy 19). Italy scored one goal from a corner and the other was a straight goal delivered beautifully by the equally beautiful Alessandro Del Piero (wink). Both teams played very well. There were no incidents. Only 3 yellow cards - 2 for Germany. No red cards, no expulsions. No fights, unlike some people (can you hear me Portugal - learn to play nice).
Italy won fair and square. Face it the better team won. And Germany had the home advantage with thousands of fans booing in the stands everytime Italy had the ball (not nice if you ask me). And yet they still managed to play strong and win. So you have to give it to the Italians. They played fair. And did you see how many times Ballack had his arms in protest about something, anything. Please. Faker!!! LOL. He's guilty of that too. No doubt.
The better team won in the end. No penatly kicks needed. Now that's a beautiful game!!!

Yes, Germany is great, but not the THE BEST in the world, mind you. I still think Italy played better today. And Klinsmann is a great coach, too. But I think Klose and Podolski fouled too much, which was a problem. And what's wrong with free kicks and corners?? Grosso's goal from the last corner was a nice one, good speed and tilt enough to upset Lehmann. I don't think the ref was on Italy's side, though -- Germany is the home team after all, but the Italians were just lucky that they fouled sort of "on the sly" and got away. I think Italy deserved this one, but Germany has potential for bronze no matter who they play.

Oh please! Your not sad about Germany losing! Your sad because you can't see Klinsmann or Ballack anymore! Come on Germany is foul as much as Italy did! I support Germany, and am fine with them being kicked out, I have three words for you! WELL DONE ITALY! The Germans knew when their number was up, so stop being still and be happy! Hey if you admire Klinsmann and the team you could not be such a sorelooser and show some respect for Italy, come now the germans have been having it easy (except for italy). Ja es ist Schade, aber wass kann tun sie? Just be Happy and have some Pizza (LoL). I also hope France play Italy in the final. and as for you opinion on the ref, u make some good points. Germany are very unlucky. I think they did their country proud and proved all of the critics wrong. They went further than Brazil and England and they deserved to. I really don't want France or Portugal to win. The reason i want Italy to win is because i think that tonight was the best game of the tournament and the winner had to do something special and Italy did. I think If Italy never had Gian Luigi Buffon it might have been Germany in the final. I'm sorry about the result, but Germany have come a long way and proved everyone wrong, they are arguabley the greatest historical team because of there fighting spirit. I think the match was fair. It was a great match and either team would have deserved to win. It's just the nature of the game that only one team can advance. Germany has won the Cup before and will probably win it again, so until then, just enjoy the competition; that's what it's all about. The German team had a great run and they and their fans can be proud of it.
I'm sure the German fans are down right now, but be glad they made it into the semifinals. My Americans played so badly that they couldn't have scored on themselves.

Germany played a heck of a game!! even though they had played over 120 minutes they still didn't seem like they were tired at all!! THAT is great conditioning, from a player's point of view. The game could've easily gone either way at many points in the game. I was disappointed about the acting of the Italian players whenever they were fouled or they fell. sad, sad, sad. But altogether they won so let's not be sore sports and congratulate them. Cheers.

Germany deserved to win. Because they played well all the way through the Cup. Because they should have won at home. It really goes deeper than that though. Of course only a German will understand how this is directly connected to patriotism, or lack thereof, due to collective guilt. It's time that this stops. 60 years of it are enough.

As a England fan I wanted you guys to win you have held a great tournament and your fans are brilliant. But being neutral I thought Italy were slightly the better team and just shaded it.
You should be proud of your nation and the fans were great after the match still showing support to their team.
Believe it or not a lot of English people wanted Germany to win as you play with a lot of passion and sportsmanship.

both side played well tonight. Though I supported Germany...in the last few minutes..Italy were a better side. Germany deserved to win, but Italy won fairly.
