have a 97frd ranger that the driverside pwr cntr wont operate windows all the time. passngr side works.?

the problem is intermitten. took panel off and switch seems to be good. possibly a short?

Could be the wire is starting to go where it enters the door panel. It is bent every time you open and close the door. Check the wiring at this point.

Clean the connections on the switches
