I tried IE7 Beta 2 and thought it was pretty poor really, it did seem much more robust than IE6 even for a Beta and is according to Microsoft (at least) more secure than previous versions of Internet Explorer plus IE has gained a number of new features which were frankly long over due, i can't believe they are touting "tabbed browsing" as something to be proud about, four or so years late.

That said, the majority of people will use IE7 as they are not confident enough to switch to something else so any updates to IE are welcome. Usability in regards to Beta 2 was pretty dire though, however you have to bare in mind that it is a Beta product so passing final judgement until Version 1.0 comes around is somewhat unfair on Microsoft.

Until then though, Mozilla Firefox and Opera 9 are the way to go.

Yes, this computer is running it as a test browser. For IE users you'll find it a better, easier interface to the net. The "tabbed browser" is a late but good addition.

Non-IE users will find nothing good about a Microsoft product and probably tell you to stop wasting your time with it. We use multiple browsers here to test our work and even within the office this debate stirs many coffee meetings! (This is a "friendly" dig people, let's keep a sense of humor!)

Sorry, I have not. Most computer enthusiasts I know recommend Mozilla Firefox, it's much safer, faster and better to use. Download and try it at:

IE 7 is by far cleaner and faster than previous builds, and comes with added security as well.
