Take I-10 to Phoenix, take I-17 to Flagstaff, take I-40 to Williams. Would highly recommend the Grand Canyon Railway as a means of transportation from Williams, add a night's stay in the park, use the free shuttle to get around inside the park and ride the train back to Williams.
