We all have our favorites but the beauty of the game is that it truly does come down to who wins in the end. Upsets seem so terrible at the time but remember they are also the kinds of things that inspire teams to turn things around in the next World Cup.

When was the last time a world cup did that? It never goes according to script. I would agree that this has been good, but there are others that have been better. There havent been as many goals in this one, which kinda dulls it a bit. Still has exciting matches though. GO PORTUGAL!

Kwame, I agree with the predictions part, but I found most of the initial games boring. The refereeing was so bad, so 'sided' , i believe FIFA will have to do something about it. I call it the CARD World Cup of 2006!
I've enjoyed, though, and look forward to 2010!
I'm happy Italy won - fair and square.
Be well!

But they rarely do. That's the beauty of sports. We all can guess and predict all we want but in the end the players always decide. And yes in terms of drama, this has been a great tournament and they're still 2 games left.

That's football, the ball is round and it goes where you kick it, therefore no script.
