Ok, this is kinda embarrasing, but i need help. i am going into 7th grade next year, and i really need a new bra! i only got my first one, real flat, the kind young kids get at the end of fith grade. im serious, please no jokes, i need help. My old one, make my boobs still stick out, and its embarrasing, so i never can wear a thin shirt, so you can see through it. I need help to persuade my mom to buy me a bigger and new bra. We don't talk much about this stuff, i can never bring myself out to ask. the words would never come out, even if i tried! Please help! How can i give her a hint, that all the other girls wear teenage bras, without embarrasing myself? Please help!

Maybe you can show her your bra and sort of ask if she thinks if you need a new one? Maybe hinting does not work, just ask her for one. Or when, your going shopping to the underwear section, that might help.

Well, embarressed to say, I also had the same problem. What you should do is talk to your mom reasonably and tell her exactly how you feel, and why you need one, and what is wrong with your old ones. Your mom was also a 7th grader, and should be understanding of your problem. When you choose your bra, a wise disision would to get a bra that is either tan, or pink. And I have alswys found it eiser to get bras with buckles up in front. Don't be embarresed to talk to your mom about bra's, because she wears one too, and she has had a lot of experiance in that department. It is all part of being a girl.

If she bought you one then she'll buy you a new one.Just put a white shirt on that you can see through and walk out and say mom, I can't wear this shirt cause my bra is too thin and everyone can see through it. Or just ask her, seriously you will have so many other things that you have to ask your mom for this will be one of the smallest requests. She will get you a new one,she will.

Hmmm... I've tried this before. Say something like, "(insert someones name) was wearing such a bright coloured bra the other day! All the girls wear big bright bras!" See what your mom says, and start leading it to, I'm glad I have light colours, but my old one is getting itchy. I knwo how you feel. If you're too shy to do this, just go out by yourself or with an adult you trust to buy one yourself.

Good luck!

Just tell her the truth that you need a new bra and when she goes with you just pick out the ones you like and if she try's to make you get a crappy one just say that if you get a bra like that everyone will make fun of you. Even if you have to make up a lie that everyone calls you nips or sumthing like that. Trust me it'll work every parent can't stand the thought of their child getting made fun of at school.

Sorry sweetie you need to sit her down and tell her. I know it's hard I had a mom I hated talking to but when the time came for bra's and other girls only things I broke the silence and it helped me in the long run.

i kind of had this problem too. me and my mom never talk either. the best thing to do though, is to just tell her. she's your mother, another woman. you shouldn't be emberassed. what she'll probably do is say "ok we'll get you a new one tommorrow" and be done with it. and once you've asked her it will be a great relief to have it off your chest (haha). so just say mom i need a new bra this one is too small. hope i've helped. ~Lacy~

ask a freind to go shopping and go to target. they have nice ones that you can buy for real cheap and come in sizes meant for girls like you... you can get push-up bras that are very nice in size 30a... the small kind but really get your used to bras like that! have fun and feel beautiful when you buy one.
if she wont let you go with a friend tell her that you feel really uncomfortable how you are and really want to go shopping... dont hardly even mention the part about bras! if youare going into 7th then that is when girls really seem to want to show off their boobies.... and if you are in gym you REALLY need to feel nice in a bra!
good luck
