Common sense as I use to know it in the 50's has gone out the window. We are raising a generation of sheep that believe the government will, and has a responsibility to take care of their needs. We have traded education for "feel good" grades. God forbid that a child learns to think on their own two feet, this may make the child feel insecure and unloved. There is no standard anymore, I see it everyday when I am at a fast food joint or just observing common manners (or the lack of them).
