Okay well i have a 20GB Harddrive Gen 4 Ipod but i wanna have a 60Gb hard drive ipod but i was wondering if i buy a 60gb hard drive switch it with my 20gb hard drive? would my ipod still work correclty?

I personally wouldn't recommend it.
1. Opening up your ipod would void its warranty.
2. Its not too easy to open up the ipod.
3. It's probablly more expensive to order a 60 gig mini drive then it would be to just get a 60 gig ipod.
4. You run the risk of no longer having a working ipod

In researching this answer you will loose Firewire connection if you replace your hard drive with a generic

maybe depends if the 60 gb hard drive wil fitinto ur case also NO apple doesn not make the hard drive they use toshiba hard drive they use the toshiba laptop hard drives why do u htinkn the new video ipods are so thin creative uses them to but its thicker us the better battery also if u do u would need to know how to open the ipod look it up on google i know that u can probably but maybe not i know this becuase th creative mp3 players have ways to swicth the hard drive and battery also if u do do that be extremely cautios and u would nt normaly find these drives o the toshiba site u r gonna have to do a deep search for them

Thats a warranty violation. The hard drive controllers are probably for Apple Company only, including the hard drive design. Ask a Apple Ipod service center, just call and ask.
