i recently bouhgt a burton cruzer 135 on ebay, it was used a couple times, so pretty good condition, however the surface isn't smooth and shiny (like a layer of like, plastic/acrylic) on top... like the burton punch 138 i used back then. or other snowboards i've seen

instead it was sorta rough and papery?
it's already used...so there anything i can do about it? like am i supposed to put a layer of protection on it? like hot wax or whatever?

or is it like a lost case?
thanks

but it seems like it's less durable than a snowboard that has the shiny topcoat?
is it just missing something?
thanks

it feels LESS durable than the shiny topsheet ^ like the edge of the board is lifting up, like it's LACKING a topcoat rather than a better coat...

It sounds like you got the rental version of the Cruzer. It is built with a topsheet that is much more durable than the smooth, glossy topsheets of the retail version. Other than that the rental and retail versions are exactly the same.

There really isn't any thing you can do to "fix" the board as there is nothing wrong with it. You can try and contact who you bought it from but I doubt you'll get much satisfaction there.

Hopefully it doesn't bother you too much as there really is no difference.

your best bet would probably be bringing it to a specialty shop. they would know how to fix it
