when I listen to any other band it seems like they are old 78 records compared to ipod's

I'll help you out with this one since you seem to have attracted the anti-Tool crowd. Yes, I do feel that they are on another level musically than other bands out there. There is only one other band that I can think of that once reached that level, and that was the Cure on the albums Seventeen Seconds, Faith, Pornography and Disintegration. I have tickets to see Tool next month and I expect it to be one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

TOOL Sucks?! I think not they are one of the greatest band of this era for the reason there sound is more unique from all the other main stream crap that comes out now a days. The make music an artwork again not just a few sloppy chords.

tools probaly one of the best and most unique bands ive ever seen. theyre songs all seem to have a certain "order" to them. but yet all of them are completely unique in there own way. when i first listened to them i never knew what was the solo or what was a verse or a chorus. tool rocks and will until they die.

I think Tool is the single greatest band making music right now. I hope in their fall tour they come to my city.

My mother got me interested in TOOL at a young age. I find them rather different in their music styles, and their lyrics. If when you say "years ahead" you mean different, and unique, I would certainly say that they have acquired that title. But I'm only 15... what do I know?

ABSOLUTLEY NOT...every song sounds the same, has the same intro the same hook and the same ending.
