The wild ones might be but we farm them and eat them here in Canada so as long as I keep seeing them in the grocery store I think they are going to make it.

Probably not. Buffalo's/bison were at one time very endangered. This was due mainly to over hunting by native Americans and habitat loss. Plus they are not extremely smart animals.
They were protected for quite some time. They have made a great come back and are now even available for food. Many ranchers raise them and the meat is available all over the states. We have them in Indiana.
The buffalo/bison population is growing rapidly.

No, it is a protected animal. The federal government will only so many to be killed by the Souix indians. The buffalo is coming back since they have put it on the endangered list. I'm sure they (government) will never open up the season to for everyone to hunt; which is a good thing.

No, buffalo are farmed quite extensively in North America and a number of nature preserves are having success in rehabilitating the wild stock.

Yes, I think most animals are in danger of becoming extinct due to humans.

I do not believe that. There are several herds of them here in Oklahoma and the government sells about 100 of them off every year here. They are also raised local to eat and the meat is available in our grocery stores. There are many more herds around Montana, Wyoming North and South Dakota to name a few states.

I don't think so. There are numerous places in the West that raise them for meat and to sell the hydes for rugs etc. In fact there is a huge one just up the road from where I live in a pasture with cows and horses.
