Maybe you should ask yourself why you are even asking such a question. Unless....you like to be treated terribly. Who cares if your family likes him? Would they if they knew the truth about your relationship?
Of course I'm sure you want us to say you should go with a man who treats you with respect, right? You should! You are hearing from a woman who was treated badly in the beginning, stayed and was physically & mentally tortured for the next 13 years until I walked. My boys will always suffer from what they saw--may even go on to do the same types of things they were taught.
`Now, if you are still waiting for an answer from me, it's a no brainer! Get out while you can with some dignity and your safety. And a little personal note from me to you--my family liked him too until they found out the truth. Good Luck!

you'll never get anywhere with a guy who treats you bad, truthfully because your family likes this guy he might feel that you will never leave him just so that you will not upset your family. The best thing to do is find you a man that treats you with respect that's really the only kind of man you should be with. You ave respect for yourself don't you??

You should be with a man that treats you with respect. If you don't have communication, trust, and respext you do not have nothing. Why would you want to spend the rest of your life with someone who does not respect you? Speaking from personal experience I know it could hard at times to get out of but you will eventually find a way. Best of Luck to you~Bon

Tell them if you haven't. Go for the good guy, & you treat him right too. Be Happy!

Don't waste one more minute of your life with someone who does not treat you with well. Your family would not like him if they knew the whole truth. Respect yourself enough NOT to accept this kind of treatment from any man!

You need to do whatever is best for you not your family. You are to always put yourself first. Your family might not know what is goin on but you do so you need to leave him alone because chances are if your family knew he treated you poorly they wouldn't like him anymore either. So ultimatley my answer is move ont o someone who treats you with respect.

Now you can answer that question for yourself.Of course the one who respects you because he will treat you the way you would like to be treated. As for your family tell them to marry him.It's better for you to be happy than please others who really don't know the whole story.

Look Girl the only one that should be happy and enjoy life is you your family doesn't live with him right? you do if he doesn't treat with respect then don't be with him you need to think about you and about what is right so think about it okay.

put your foot down say hey listen im tired of you treating me like a piece of crap i was puit on this earth no different than you and you should treat people how you want to be treated and if you cant do tat sorry i gota leave and if hes an a**hole about it thats fine cuz u know when your gone hes gonna be missing you and when anf if he comes back hell realize he was wrong "abscence mlkes the heart grow stronger"
