What charges are you talking about? Be specific. If it’s the regular service charge / interest / annual fee or a late fee, the bank may reverse the charge based on your explanation. I’ve worked for a bank and I’ve come across customers that would not take ‘NO’ for an answer and have their way! Doesn’t work all the time though!

I have had situations which the bank was in error, by taking more money out from a debit card. This in turn caused some overdrafts. After discussing this with the bank, they did reverse the charges. So it is possible.

Depends on what type of customer you have been. Your account status. The question is, "Are you a valuable customer to the bank?"

If you are, then you might have been able to get some of them deleted if you have a good reason for the problem. But it ain't a sure thing, and it ain't gonna be done forever.

I have never been told that before. I would take whoever told you that over to the bank with you.
