As a doctor I was taught in Med School "never put anything smaller than your elbow into your ear!!"
Seriously, if you've got a lot of wax, put some warm olive oil into the ear canal for a few nights, followed by a little plug of cotton wool. This should soften the wax and it will flow out.

Never, ever use a Qtip, nor a bobby pin. You can buy earwax removal products over the counter. Sold under different brand names,, but all seem to have the same ingredients. Hint: Put the tiny plastic bottle in some warm water for a little while before using. If the solution is warm, it is not as likely to cause dizziness as it closes your ears for a while. Also, be sure you have a bulb syringe to rinse the ear canal with warm water after solution is used. Sometimes the wax removal solution comes with the ball syringe, sometimes you will need to buy it separately.

Use a 50/50 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and normal saline. Warm the mixture a bit to body temperature (putting cold fluids in your ear canal could cause a lot of dizziness). Use this mixture to flush out your ears. You can use a syringe (without a needle obviously) to shoot it into your ear canal, but it is a lot easier for someone to do it for you. Turn your head to the side and let the mixture soak for a couple of minutes and then continue flushing until your ear feels clear.

The ear is a self-cleaning channel: the wax dries and flakes away if you don't interfere. But cottonbuds feel so good! Just be careful in case you poke your eardrum.

DON'T use a Q-tip, because sometimes that packs the wax in your ear farther. Use a warm, wet washcloth, and gently clean out your ears.

You could try ear candling. Get it done by a professional who knows what they are doing.
