The Italians made the right substitutions at the right time and Germany didn't have a very deep bench and their best and quickest players were unable to slow down the Italian's fresh legs. The second goal for Italy was ridiculous. There was no chance of any team in the World Cup stopping that goal.

The 3 player changes they made were offensive changes, they all produced and Del Piero was the one that scored the 2nd one. They didnt wanna go to penalty kicks, they risked and reaped the benefits.... No balls, no babies!.
