Be nice and polite, clear concise, and to the point. Make sure you have all of your facts before you speak and be prepared for any possible questions with an answer ready to go.

When you're trying to persuade people, believe in what you are saying. Sincerity goes along way. Before you try to persuade someone, think of it as trying to sell that person something, because you are trying to sell them someting..your idea. Be confident. A lack of confidence portrays an unsureness. Also think of any negative items which surround your idea. Then think of ways to counteract those negative items. Be clear when speaking.

First of all, don't ever ask people what they want, tell them what they are going to get. Persuasion is a delicate manipulation of words. Effective tips, tell them, that way they don't have too. Always assume the closing. It will help you on your endeavor to your request

In what ways do you want to persuade people? where do you want to persuade them, is it at the work place home, etc?? why do you want to persuade them? These questions will help you start. Check out behavioral theories, they might help.

Mirror them and their action...it is like being like a human camelion but it works but do not be soo agreeable that you seem like a pushover. Also, strive to be presentable so that they like the way you look. Looks count for more than most people realize. Smiling also helps when it is appropriate. Share laughter.

Make the argument personal to them, have a way of arguing for your cause against other views, and have an open mind to other views and use those views to better advance your cause.
