I love Point Reyes in Marin County California, they have a little town of good inexpensive resturants, you can hike along the mountain area and then whale watch along the beaches, they have some very interesting bed and breakfast's places one is actually a tree house. The other is Glass beach in Fort Braggs CA., in one area you can horse back ride along the beach, ride the old Skunk Train, or collect beach glass along what they call glass beach which used to be a glass dumping area long ago at the ocean. Then the other place is the Blue Heron Inn and Bed and Breakfast in Findley Lake New York. They even have a candle making factory and store next door where you can watch candles being made. Walk along the lake and just enjoy the quiet. Plus all these areas are a great scenic ride to get there.

The West Side Market in Cleveland is definately a hidden gem. About everyone from Cleveland knows about and has been there, but not a lot of tourists go. I think people from Cleveland don't hype it up as much as they should, because they take it fro granted. It is in a graceful market hall with a beautiful clock tower built in 1912, and all different kinds of vendors have stands inside the market. A lot of the vendors sell authentic ethnic foods for great deals, and a lot of different type of people are drawn to the market. The neighborhood - Ohio City - is just over the river from downtown Cleveland with cool cafes and bars. When you go to W.25th St. it is like going "around the world".

This amazing seafood place in a rather rural area North of Boston. Just the best Lobster you've ever had. And the setting is so New England, that you feel like you've stepped back in time.
It is called, Woodman's and claims to be the home of the fried clam strips. They are good too.
There are lots of Antique stores in the town of Essex where Woodman's is located.

Lincoln City , Oregon. We loved the KOA there. There's a discount outlet mall and the beach is to die for.
