it is all propoganda, designed to take your mind off of problems that you might actually be able to solve.
global warming... what are the greenhouse gasses?... Carbon dioxide? hmmm.. where does MOST carbon dioxide come from? How about the BILLIONS of tons spewed out by volcano eruptions.. can we do anything about them? no... can we do anything about the carbon dioxide they spew forth? no.. or.. can we? can we take carbon dioxide and break it down into carbon and oxygen? perhaps... on a large scale? no.. not yet.. maybe in the future if you study and invent a new way to do it... perhaps turn all carbon dioxide into diamonds and oxygen?
ok.. dangers of global warming... as the earth heats up... the points farthest from the poles also heats up.. and ice that is many centuries old begins to melt.. there is large enough quantity of ice there to raise the level of the oceans.. low lying cities would be in danger.. hmmm.. don't know any low cities that can't cope with a raise in water level.. Venice seems to have coped with it quite well.
warmer temperatures means there is a LOT more energy in the atmosphere for storms to pick up.. so they grow stronger when it is warmer.. that is why hurricanes happen in the summer and not in winter.

Because people are starting to finally notice that a lot of the earth's negative changes are in direct relation to our population growth, consumption and technology advances. Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to imply that these are bad things specifically, especially technology (which hopefully will be where most of our answers for reversing damage will come from) but in the past (and still today) we have been short-sighted, greedy or outright dumb in the manners that we have approached our modern-day living. Consumption is a big concern in my eyes, something that is mainly up to each individual to fix, within their work, homes, communities, habits, and mentalities. Of course some of this change is up to the large companies, but if people keep supporting the companies that are "environmentally immoral" than the changes are going to be slow coming! Remember: the most effective vote we have (Americans, at least) is with our dollars. So buy [vote] accordingly.

Global warming is such an important issue today because we are beginning to experience the effects more frequently. The hurricanes last year, flooding, droughts.....these are a result of global warming.

Ro!'s answer is a 9-3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous decrease and paste pastime from a think of tank funded by employing exxon-cellular, DaimlerChrysler, El Paso potential, and comparable aspects. Neither he nor the unique cites their aspects. it is likewise shockingly incorrect. 1st - we've good records of climate from the 20 th century, and particularly good going back farther than that. surely "extreme" activities are properly recorded, which incorporate droughts, floods, and storms. The paleoclimatic dataset is exceedingly good and recuperating, we've a good checklist of recommend temperatures for various places around the area going back many tens of thousands of years. 2d - climate isn't climate, and that's impossible to characteristic anybody journey to "worldwide warming." there is robust information that climate replace will bring about extra extreme activities, and that's somewhat sparkling that the final decade or so is great in the historic climate checklist. third - whilst it quite is genuine that the earth's climate does variety over the years, present day climate technological expertise has gotten exceedingly state-of-the-artwork, and that's obvious that anthropogenic CO2 emissions might desire to have outcomes that are consistent with what we are observing. it is the reason the IPCC says they are ninety% specific that the pronounced adjustments are pushed by employing human pastime.

We're getting closer to the point of no return. We are closer to the time when no matter what we do we cannot reverse the effects of global warming.
People are trying to get others to pay attention and make changes before nothing can be changed to make a difference.
