do disobey our laws, to collect welfare, to be driving without licenses.. i mean ****, ok, lets call up the mexican president.. i want to go to mexico, raise my family there on mexicos dime of course, i want english speaking teachers in the schools.. every business establishment better have a translator of some sort, al govermental papers need to be translated, because i am that rude to sneak in demand all this and not evne learn the language.. on top of it, ill start gangs and rallys and protest, and basically use and spit on there country.. HOW WOULD THEY FEEL!!!! anyone agree that this is wrong??

las t details to everyones disbelive i am 1/3 Mexican.. all the family that i have living here on the mexican side was born here, all went to college, on is a police officer, and speak fluent english and spanish..so why cant the illegal ones at least learn the language not have children that they cant afford, and maybe try to make a better life for themseves, instead they come over here and try to get in your car at stoplights, talking about "tak me werk" sorry mexican but i will not bring in some stray of the street to my union job, lol this guy wants to werk.. dont come here with all your problems, if you want to be a productive member of the society, great.. but thats about 10% of em, the rest lay around and have kids on welfare..

I completely understand your point. I can't count how many times I have said that I would not go to any other country and make such demands either. If I wanted to live in France I would learn the language and obey thier laws, embrace the culture.

Many people call you a racist when speaking out on this subject, ignorance is quick to judge quick to anger. My sister-in-law is from Mexico, all the rest of her family still lives there. I absolutely adore her and her family. I do not have any prejudice against Mexicans, Mexico, people who want a better life for themselves, ect and so on. But I do not like ANY group that lives in the USA and doesn't respect it. Why the US bends over for them is a mystery to me, they did not do so for any of the other countries that flooded here looking for a better life. Immigrants of today learn the language - except many Mexicans (of course, why should they since everything is in Spanish for them). My father told me that Mexico once said it "would take over America without firing a single shot" - I believe that comment was made in the 80's! How true it is. There are too many places where I am not in America anymore in my area. I do not know about California, but I live in Texas so I can relate.

...and one more comment, English is the official language of the US. Canada has declared French, US took English.

Anyone can TRY to sneak into this country illegally. If they were terrorists,they'd get caught when they tried to blow up a building or purchase an AK-47. Most of the illegal immigrants in this country work minimum wage jobs that few legal residents would do for the pay they get so they catually help the economy in a way (albeit a perverse way - and this doesn't make it right) Any terrorist might be in contact with rebel cells in other countries and they'd be caught. Or they have to buy supplies for a terrorist act. On the other hand some don't get caught until they're in process. Almost always they will share their plan with someone and that will get back to authorities.

First of all, the US wants them here. I am in management and there is one simple way to not hire illegals. Do a simple background check and it will tell you if their social # is good or if they have an ID or Driver's License number. It really is that simple!

Now, all you ignorant people should do some research b-4 answering such a simple question. The government wants them here, that is why they are here. Do a simple background check and they will not be able to get jobs HERE! Then, they will not come or will have to leave as they will go hungry.

The real question is, why doesn't the US make background checks a must for employment and in that same manner subsidice such a background check. Truth is... The economy needs them. If you now pay $1 for a pound of any vegetable, would you like to pay 3 or 4 dollars for the same quality product if a lazy American (white, black, hispanic or whatever he/she is) were to pick the same vegetable?

Many businesses wanted them here to work like dogs for little pay -- which is why George W. Bush always turned a deaf ear to this (until he saw it as an opportunity to get some increase in his lagging polls). Now this issue is just a silly red herring -- to distract people from the more complex and daunting issues. It gives people an excuse to promote their own patriotic identities and to express some simple racism behind a veil of jingoism.

Should the problem be addressed? Sure -- but let's address it without resorting to silly demagoguery and half-truths that may go over well in some local deli but fail when reason and logic are the tools of choice. And ... if we're after truth and righteousness, let's first get up-to-speed on what our conservative republicans like Stefan Halper, Dr. Paul Roberts, and the republican generals who signed the DMCC document are saying about the neoconservatives and Bush with respect to the iraq war: that they majorly screwed up (and that it has N-O-T-H-I-N-G to do with WMDs, fighting for our freedom, stopping another Hitler -- read: PNAC policy). Again, if we were up-to-speed as a nation on all these issues, then we could reasonably address them and not just be silly puppets by whatever politician (liberal or conservative) is in charge.

You're right about them having to learn the language though, most of them probably thought English was the main language in the USA, but at least your question has put them right on that. What native language do you speak by the way?

Have you been to Mexico? Their economy's in the f***ing dumpster. You want to end illegal immigration - help solve their economic issues.
How's that our problem? Look around. Where else are they going to go? Guatemala?
As far as the National Guard goes, last time I was in Mexico I saw guys walking around with AK47s. And six cops were decapitated a couple of weeks ago. That's right, not just killed - DECAPITATED!
Given the choice between that and the National Guard, which would you be more scared of?

Obviously, you are not Mexican. If you were you would have been taugth at school that a great part of US was Mexico´s territorial possessions and it was taken by Anglo people who also took Indian lands and put them in Indian reservations and many other similar injustices perhaps worse than what you see these illegal immigrants do. mexicans don't like to sneak in our country, they are looking for a better quality of life. Of course, some of them make harm by starting gangs and all that stuff, but is more like a problem with the racist society more than their racial background.
