NO!!! Transmission fluid does not have the same lubricating qualities as engine oil. Adding it to an engine will quickly destroy the bearings! I have heard of pouring transmission fluid down the carb while the engine is running to free stuck valves, but I wouldn't recommend it. JMHO.

Only use it as emergency, You can use 1 qt to help lifters free them up. Before an oil change 1 qt run for 30 Min's then change oil. 15 yrs of auto mechanic work seen and done this many times.

Yeah..... it already is a oil...... but you should never use it in place of engine oil.... not only does it have a weak antiwear additive pack, it has hardly any detergents and is a light oil to boot..... a tiny bit won't hurt.... alot, or in place of engine oil... your asking for a new engine?
Just keep a couple quarts in the back..... for top ups if needed..... not trans fluid.
