seriously, it sounds like you have a lot of stress about something? a stressful conflict with your mom, maybe, over something that happened a long time ago?

I think dreams are just random pieces of information that you have stored but your sleeping mind tries to organize them into some kind of logical sequence. For instance, today you might have had a salad with a tomato wedge that had a bug on it when it was served to you. You seen a really cute guy while you were waiting for the light to change that same day. Before you went to bed, you watched a movie that had a unicorn in it. You dream that night of a a handsome prince on a stallion holding a lance in a field of dancing black flowers and the sunset is a bright red. Do you see where all the elements of the dream were somewhere in your day but not in the same way? When you remember your dream or part of it, see if you can relate it to things that happened during the day. If nothing else, it's an interesting exercise.

Let me analyze this dream..
Spirit or Ghost = something you are afraid of or your obstacle, it could be some new stuff you have never learned before or it could be something that you want to try to explore
Your Mom saying don't go there = You are resisting your mom's order. You probably hear it all the time in reality and it is showing once again in your dream.
Someone attacks you = This could mean peer pressure.
Broom and you hit the ghost thing = The object is showing that you need someone to rely on. You cannot be dependent.
In conclusion, you may be person who always depends on someone who can help you on achieving things such as learning. You are not total confidence in your studies. You tend to struggle yourself and try to do it and overcome all the obstacle you can't control in reality.
I am so sure you can do it if you try to be more independent in reality. You need to have more confidences in facing different obstacles in life

This dream could mean you are approaching the time in your life when you feel you must diminish your mother before you can have the courage to break away and be on your own. You are learning that it will be hard to be independent without her to protect you, but it is a normal situation between parents and teens--this process of breaking away by not doing everything you are told to do. The dream shows you that you should listen carefully to advice before deciding not to follow it. There may be consequences to pay.

it means you feel your mom has been over protecting you. you aren't listening to her advice about something because you feel that you are capable of handling things on your own. but just like in your dream, in real life, sometimes you need help swinging that heavy broom. you can undoubtedly do things by yourself, but it will be difficult and the results uncertain. however, if you will at least consider the advice your mom gives you, you could have an easier time of things.

It could mean that something you thought was "dead" is coming back to haunt you, but you are in denial about this. The broom, perhaps you are trying to "sweep" this under the rug? Dream meanings and symbols can sometimes be simple, if you think about it.

You are trying to sweep away a great fear. You are finding it difficult so that is why you couldn't swing the broom very fast.

all of our dreams are connected to our past lives so it probably has something to do with one of your past lives. maybe you defied your mother and went into the room and got killed so you are recalling the part of your life where she warned you not to go into the room.the person that is grabbing you is the one who hurt you. I wouldn't let it bother you if you want it to stop just tell yourself that that was a past life and it's over with, and you want to live in the present life. Do that just before you drift off to sleep and after a few times it will stop.

It sounds like you are trying to deal with something in your life...either a situation or feelings...and your mother is there because she is representing someone in your life that could be giving you the answer that you need but you might not be listening because you are trying to deal with it your own way.
