Yes, they are here.
And no, it is not a waste of time for them to be here.
In fact, I can think of no greater calling for them.

Some are trying very hard to guide people in to the light. It is not an easy thing to do. They can not tell you how to think. They can not give you the answers. The best they can do is provide some insight that may get others to start to think for themselves.

I personaly have found a handfull of people fitting your criteria; Though' I don't know if they have any science credentials. What they do posses is an understanding for what is true and real.

You probably would not even recognize them if they answered your questions. They might sound like a person that is not even from your world or a bit crazy.

Take for example this notice:

A few weeks ago, someone with the highest science credentials issued this warning to a Chinese audience. He told them that "if humans wish to survive, they may have to leave earth and colonize other nearby planets". He sighted a few threats that may contribute to earths inability to sustain life. They included: run-a-way global warming, nuclear holocaust, and an astroid collision. He sounded quite sure that we may have less than 100 years before such a calamity would happen.

Like I said, it sounds crazy: Yet the person who said it was no other than Stephen Hawking, only the smartest person thought to be alive today.

I can not tell you who these intellectuals are, but I can tell you what to look for. First, they see great threats to human life in the forseeable future. Second, They are not to worried, because they understand what life is, and are prepaired to make a transition from human life to the next world. I know it sounds a bit religious, but as far as truth goes, there is more than one way to find it.

Happy hunting and welcome aboard "kumvr".

Knowledgeable intellectuals with insight into deep thought most likely think that it is not worthwhile spending time answering questions in a forum of this type.
However, people that are endowed with intellect should share the wealth, don't you think?

I doubt many scientists with top credentials even use Yahoo...but take the credentials part away, and yes, there are intellectuals everywhere, if you look hard enough.

It is not necessary to have credentials when you are good at deep thought. Sometimes credentials inhibit one. Besides, Einstein flunked elementary school.

no.. they have better things to do than to answer questions here.. they are busy getting their students to do more original research to better the world.. or to make it worse.. just to change the knowledge pool.
