I already buy a lot of designer clothing, so it's not about the money. But yes. I think clothing says a lot about a person. And designer clothing just says a person wants to spend as much as it takes to look really good, and have more people (a.k.a. designers) worrying about if the clothing "works".

NO - I would rather be spending the thousands of dollars on my children's lives & futures.

And besides, the difference is cost, is always the difference in brand names.

And there is such a thing as ebay - helping people pay much much less for brand names every second!

If I had the money, I'd spend thousands to help out new designers with unrecognized talent.

Absolutely. I think it a matter of just blowing money but once you get money you change your environment and patterns. If you need a t-shirt you are not going to run into K-Mart and get the $5.00 pack of three. You are going to run to Saks where you now have a cute personal shopper and you spend $50.00 for one.

no way and anyone who truly believes a higher price automatically and necessarily makes a product better is fooling themselves. nobody should ever have their face close enough to my bum to be able to read a designer label. that's just a ridiculous waste of money.

Well of course if I had the money I would want to help people but I would like to do it in a pair of Jimmy Choos.
