Mine is, yeah I know, pathetic, but I don't think I'm alone. I'm interested to see where else Wal-mart has taken over, lol.

I agree, I'm not to fond of the crowds either, but still if you ever wanted to find someone all you have to do is check there, you got a 50/50 chance of finding them, lol.

Hell, we got us a Wal-mart and we ain' even got us a town.

I live in the frozen foods department near the TV dinners which is good cos i can bring a couple to my friend over at the electronic/ DVD section and we can watch that dang Brokeback Mountain movie that was filmed in our backyard behind the dumpsters...sometimes we BBQ back there and drink Budweiser. Sometimes we just drink Budweiser back there. Some of them damn fool whippersnappers in the Pet Department will come out here with some of that dang catnip and smoke it...claims they see Sam in the sky they do....
...but i being a simple Sam-fearin' man, I worship Sam with the others every Sunday in the Garden of Eden Department at sunrise, singin' out of the Sunday flyer..

....then we's all off to Ronald's for Egg Mcmuffins..he shore is a clown though and keeps us laughin' 'bout all them children in his lap...a real rascal...got them big feet but you know what they say 'bout that, hehe!

....it's a beautiful life herein in our big blue box...the only tax is sales...and since we livin here we don't need to buy nothin'!.....Chinese heaven on earth, 'cept at Christmas.

I live in a small town in Kentucky where Wal-Mart is the hangout. I don't think it's planned, though. A lot of rednecks, after a hard day of work, want to get together, hang out, and show off their pickups and race their 4-wheelers. (Go ahead, laugh, but I'm being serious here.) So, Wal-Mart provides a nice, large parking lot for which they can do this. It's either there or the local parks from which the police would run them off.

I do not shop at Wal-Mart unless I absolutely cannot find what I need somewhere else. But when I used to work second shift it would be about the only thing open when I got off work. In that town it was like people were using Wal-Mart as a pick-up joint!
Once when I was in there with my mother there was this guy following my mother around in the women's' workout [clothing] department. I left for a few minutes & then went back to her & said in a voice loud enough for that perv to hear "Mom, Dad said that he would be back up here in a few minutes. He just had to go pick up some shotgun shells..." Needless to say, the perv took off in a different direction.

Well I have lived in several towns in Tn. and there were always crowds of teens hanging out in the parking lot of every Wal-Mart I visited at night on the weekend. The three biggest hangouts were Lebanon,Hermitage and Hendersonville.Others were Gallatin,Lafeyette,Smryna and Antioch.
Yes I do think it was planned who better to buy things than a teen with money to burn.Even if they have an advantage to hanging out in a group most of the kids will want to spend some money at the store. My own girls did it and I always knew where to find them.

I live in the metroplex, and we dread going to wally world. It is too busy, and definitly not a hang out place. I know a homeless dude that hangs at malls and wal marts just for the a/c. If you live in a small town, though.....wal mart may be the hippest place to do the meat market thing with the opposite sex...eh?

Of course it's planned. They build Wal-marts all over knowing that it will attract business because their prices are cheap and they can attract business, that is what businesses do. It's not about the interests of the people it's about making lots of money

Yeah it is a big hang out for old men. They sit in the snack bar and even have a club named the wal marts men club. They are going to close the snack bar to get rid of them.

Guelph, Ontario is the last major North American city not to have a Wal-Mart. They plan on building one right next to a religious sanctuary. A sad and ironic fact.

If anyone were to hang around a Wal-Mart here in southern California, people would laugh at him or her.
