Channel is for the younger innovative look while dior is the classy stylish vintage couture look... so what ever your preferance however i would go with Channel!

Chanel simply because they have Karl Lagerfeld and he has kept the company going in a good path that is not totally screwy. However Dior is good too. But with Chanel you recognize a distinct iconography from Dior. Chanel has a better and more memorable logo. It's simply better.

I like Channel better, it's more classy in my opinion. Also, I feel that the prices at Dior are ridiculous and not worth what you're buying... I like Channel WAY MORE.

They both have their pluses and minuses. Chanel's "c"s are pretty cute, but Dior has a more classic feel to it.
