The WOW has an automatic updater that runs during gameplay and it continues to go on after the game is over. Just get what you need to done before he plays and after well let's just say you could reboot if need be and the speed should improve but if you can bear the speed decline you should because it will help him play.

Wow is one the worst offenders for loading adware on your computer. I have forbidden it on any of my PC's at home. You can get a copy of Ad-Aware professional that runs in the background that will keep it from loading Adware. A quick fix is to run the task manager and end the Wow.exe process.

Some programs, require a lot of memory and need to you as much of the computer resources as possible. We have the same problem with our Sims 2, game. So when ever we are done playing the game, we restart the computer and that gets the computer moving at the normal speed again.

It could be memory leaks in the video drivers, or in WoW itself. I'd try and make sure that the video drivers are up to date. Realistically, you may just have to resign yourself that after playing the game, you may need to reboot, annoying as I know that sounds.

Probally becuase the CPU process is still slow, all you have to do about this is just log off and back on, on games like that, they sometimes keep running when you quit them. so press CTRL+ALT+DELETE and click process tab, and look under the CPU column, and look to see if anything is running at over 50-60% hope this works. if you mean its your internet thats slow, just power cycle.

Just need to reboot after it is over. This assumes you have the standard tools installed on your PC. If not get
AdAware
Spybot
AVG
all from www.filehippo.com
AVG is a free antivirus.

Don't know what WoW is but teens normally chat and chat and after. . . they chat. What may be happening as in any other chat room is that you get SPYWARE that send lots of stuff into your computer to obtain info about what sites you visit, pop ups and stuff. Try to get an anti spy or similar. I recomend you spybot, it is free and has blocked lots of things in my computer.

go to settings and then control panel, click uninstall programs, delete any programs for thw WOW session, then go to 'tools' click internet options, delete temporary internet files and cookies, if this doesn't work, maybe you need to get it professionally done

Run these tools...free. They will help. Then clean out your history and cookies. "tools" "internet options"..."delete files"..."delete cookies"...and "clear history". Also wouldn't hurt to defrag...programs "accessories""system tools" "disk defrag...."
