Zippy was a rugby ball head-shaped creature with a zip for a mouth in the cult children's program Rainbow. Apparantly he was Orange because of Geoffrey Hayes passion for Dundee United FC!

He was supposed to be a monkey. I know this because I met Rod, Jane and Freddie once,(I'd rather not go into details) and I asked them. Due to their lack of humour I have no reason to believe otherwise,
