hell yeah its alright....im a girl and i love the drums. In fact my favorite drummer is a girl drummer...(Meg White...from the white stripes.)

Definitely! Just check out that girl from The Donnas. There is just something primal about the drums, where the beat just penetrates and moves the soul (check out Gene Krupa from the big band era).
Don't worry about it not being feminine or sexy. There weren't many female bass players, but now check out Sean Yseult from White Zombie, Darcy from Smashing Pumpkins, that redhead (can't believe I forgot her name) from Hole, or Patricia Day from the HorrorPops (upright bass!). They're hot!
It all comes down to you. Maybe you're the one to lead the charge and bring female drummers to the forefront. Good luck!
PS: I have to agree with the comment mentioning Sheila E. I remember her from over 20 years ago. She had a few solo albums and even played/ toured with Prince. Her father is also a drummer, who played in Santana. Sheila E. is an amazing drummer/ percussionist, and she was majorly hot back in the day. I'm sure she still is, lol...

I play and it's fun. But i'm telling you this now it takes a lot of work your not just beeting these things your making music. Think about it in guitar you try to keep your two hans in synch try to put your whole body in synch a whole different thing. When I firt started my body and mind were in two different places. And don't just play cause you think you'll get extra cool points with the kida at school just play to have fun. And also it's defintly alright for a girl to play drums that kicks ***. Well good luck.

Girl , do what your heart desires. I mean , i play the trumpet and im a girl . Yeah , people think its for guys, but , hah , not for me . So , if you won't play cause the crowd say you shouldin't i think its wrong . Follow your heart, not the crowd.
