I do not think chatspeak is a correct form of English, but rather involved with chat abbreviations or acronyms. It depends on how you look at it. Some think it's cool, some think it saves time typing online. To me, I will never appreciate the concept of "chatspeak." It is a disgrace to the English language, and chances are a person may not understand what a sentence means through chatspeaking.

Also, I've learned that Chatspeakers are generally looked down on by people who can actually spell and who have enough self-respect to type out a real sentence. Chatspeak can never be considered "literate," even if people do it purposefully.

I, too, feel that it mostly shows how ignorant a person is.
I skip over questions that use it, won't read answers in it, won't vote for them ... it's lazy, obnoxious, and disrespectful.
