Wasps serve in many "good" capacities. They act as pollinators etc. Also, most are predatory by nature and are used in some organic orchards etc. for natural pest control.

Absolutely no point what so ever. They are a menance to society and should be served with ASBO'S. They gain great pleasure out of annoying people, spying on them from discreet places and going in for the kill when they have nothing better to do. They particularly like haming people who are allergic to them. Tehcnically they are no better than your average criminal and should all be assassinated.

They are there, because they are there, and obviously, they are successful at being there, otherwise they would not be there.
