Ok, I woke up this morning and my belly button was sore! I did pick at it yesterday, and tried to clean it w/ a qtip and some peroxide. Yesterday there was a slight pink around the area, and today its red, and sore. There is a slight discharge, greenish ,yellowish and the smell around the area is just foul. I looked at my sheets and there is a stain from the fluid.
THis is really not convenient, I have a Mary Kay 4th of July party in a couple hours. ANd I know someone will notice this smell. And its a event I CANT miss. What shoul I do?

I read your other question about this same issue and noticed there that you said you noticed hair in it. If it was just an ingrown hair, then it should get better with the peroxide and use some anti-infection cream (Neosporin or Bactroban). If it doesn't get better soon, call your doctor. The hair in it makes me wonder if it's a pilonidal cyst. They normally grow on the tailbone but can also grow on the armpit and navel. If it is a pilonidal cyst, you need an antibiotic.

Ive got the same thing believe it or not. Mine was a little sore so I poked it too hard I guess and not the things coming out. I dont know what to do. Can you please message me and tell me what to do? So far I havnt done anything about mine. Mines not sore anymore at all. Just some fluids coming out.

Clean it with peroxide or rubbing alcohol, soak a band aid in calamine lotion and good luck with the event!

what did you do to this thing, lol..you must of picked on this very hard in order for it to get sore and infected ,,and discharge ? this must be an old infection revisited, go to a doctor..

gasoline the cure all. if that don't work use the sulfur scraped off of a kitchen match then lite it. no more ooze.

you should put on hydrogen peroxide--get it at the drugstore, it's cheap and really works.
