Why does Limited Too only work with SKINNY pre-teens? Is this a form of prejudice?
I dont think so...they have made alot of there clothing in a variety of bigger sizes. Just remember that Limited Too did start out as a kids store, and they are trying to move up into more of a teens store now. However most teens dont usualy shop there anyways i dont think. Its more about Abercrombie and Hollister!! Lol
So i guess scence more kids just shop there they have to only order a main selection of kids sizes.

"Why do people think skinny is best?" Because a heavy pre-teen is at much higher risk for all kinds of health problems. Limited Too assumes that pre-teens are not overweight because they get plenty of exercise and parents are still able to feed them healthy food without too much fight. Unfortunately, this is changing in the US.
"Is this a form of prejudice?" Of course not. They are pre judging you on anything. They simply aren't offering any clothing to fit overweight pre-teens.
Good luck to you and I hope you are able to find a store that fits your needs. : )

i guess because celbrities are skinny so people assume if your skinny then you work out like the celebrities. being skinny to most people is like saying you have a prada purse or something!! YEah i always wondered that about limited too but then again they need skinny girls so they can fit into whatever clothes they make. i wouldn't say prejudice but i think for the sake of saving money on outfits so they won't have to worry about making a shirt over on a normal ssized girls. hope that helps!!!

I don't think skinny is best. Being healthy is best and if you can't find clothes that fit you right you can go to another store or get them tailored. There are other stores that have cute clothes that fit people who aren't really skinny.

Sweetie America is prejudice against any one that is not SKINNY. Just learn how to shop and were to shop to get the cute and in stuff for BIG Girls. And be Proud hold your head up high and don't let anybody tell you you are not Beautiful.

no its not that they are prejudice its just that the buyers for the stores stock probablly have a certain demographic in mine when they purchase the clothes, larger clothes may be out of the budget because they generally have more fabric and are more expensive if you wnat really cool and cute pre-teen clothes try alloy.com they so rock and carry size 0-24. :) good luck

How skinny is "skinny", though? I definitely think clothing should be made for many different sizes, but stores shouldn't start making clothes bigger as though implying that fatter people are the normal "default", the way that Wal-Mart started to.

I agree the world is selling us fattening foods but apparently you have to be the size of a toothpick to be liked. I haven't ever been able to fit in limited too clothes. and they have cute stuff. but im to old to wear there clothes anymore anyway.

Because being fat gives the impression of having no self-control and it makes your facial features less prominent so you look just like any other fat person.

in modelling, companies have a right to hire whoever they want, or whoever they think will meet their need to attract attention and sell clothes. Skinny sells.
