God u guys are helpful!! - is anyone good with wiring n electrical knowledge? I need to set up a mobile DJ sound system. I have bought 1 sub 2x mid range and 2x high range speakers - going to build boxes - so 1x sub and 2x speakers (with 1x mid and 1x high range speaker in each) - i need help knowing how i can wire these up - will have 3 amps (12v DC - one amp for each speaker) gona get a 4 channel mixer MP3 mixer but it only has one main (master out) how can i connect 3 amps to one master out and will this work and will i still be able to adjust the sound from the mixer independantly or only through the amps??? anyone who has knowledge of wiring diagrams this would help alot - (going to run everything off mains 230V AC so will convert the 12V dc amps to run from mains 230v AC) thanks

By using adapters and/or "Y" leads you can connect the single output from the mixer to all three amplifier inputs. RadioShack will have something suitable amongst their stock. Talk to the sales staff there and tell them what you want to connect.

Any level/volume/gain adjustments on the mixer will affect its output, and since that single output feeds all three amplifiers the control/s on the mixer will be the master control/s.

You can still use each amplifier's own controls to set different volumes from each of them.

Skip the amp and get powered speakers.
