In html, you make a link on text with this line of code:
Home

meaning the link (a href) should go to the home.htm page starting with the following text> {in this Example the text says Home} and the tells it where the link ends (so it is just this word instead of a whole sentence, say).

In html, you make a link on a graphic (which can be a square button or a picture or a circle - a .jpg or .gif file) with this line of code:

Essentially the same code, except instead of the text work Home, now we have an Image Source tag = to the name of a graphic file. Since there is no directory name in the quotes, this file must live in the same directory as the page the link is on.

To make the button or graphic is something else entirely. I use photoshop and you can often find sample buttons that you can work with for free on the web. I would search Yahoo for free web buttons.

Peace!

Where are you trying to use it in? If its in a newer version of MS word or with an instant messanger just type the website like www.whatever.com and it should convert it, if not their should be an option to make a hyperlink somewhere.
