I know this seems a really stupid question but the part that goes over your foot always seems to pull up at the sides so the whole strap snaps or starts to come apart. This always seems to happen. I am one of the very few women who enjoy shopping for shoes so its annoying to go every other month for some new ones.

Thanks your all helpful, I'm asking about general wear sandals. I have to be different as my foot size is 5 and a half! so I get a size 6 shoe/sandal, which may actually cause my sandals to pull at the front to make them tear.... but I so hate shopping for shoes as I prefer fat stuff and everything has heals!

(Are you talking about SANDAL sandals, or flip-flop sandals? ) Comfort and fit should probably be your main concerns..

Some other things to look out for are: design/stylishness, price, and construction/functionality (how well it's made). Keep in mind that, it often is true that you get what you pay for. Not that you should shell out a hundred dollars or anything, but $20 sandals kind of raise an eyebrow, no? Also, if you're in a reputable retail store rather than, let's say, Payless, don't be afraid to ask questions as the employees usually are more knowledgable than their customers.

You should also take into account what these sandals will be worn for.. Are you going to wear these casually? To the beach? Camping? If you want durability and longetivity, you should probably steer clear of jellies, and the like.

Anyways.. As a last note, if you're talking about flip-flop sandals, I highly recommend 'Rainbow' sandals which can be found at: http://www.rainbowsandals.com/ These sandals (after the initial break-in phase) are very comfortable because they warp to mold to your feet, and are covered by a very decent warranty.

These are roughly around $50 and can be found at common retail stores such as 'Pac Sun' and the like, so accessibility isn't a problem. (Plus, you can try them on which is a plus over online shopping) Not to mention, they're eco-friendly. =) Hope this helped. Good luck and have fun!

Since you don't really like to shop for shoes I will assume you are not into wearing lots of different fashionable shoes with different outfits, so in that case I would look for something in a netural color to go with everything and something that is leather with wider over straps that are sewn down under the foot linning, actually swen into the linner and than securely glued and/ or stiched down to outer bindding. You would probably do well to look for Earth Shoes or Scketehers I believe that would be a really great sandal for you...you can purchase them many places like, Wal-mart, Payless, Target, Shoe Carnival, and there are many styles and colors to choose from....Happy Shopping

Check to see if the strap is glued or stitched. The stitching will last longer.
